Dinges Logistics pushes further growth with regard to rubberized equipment

10/20/2022 - Production stoppages, force majeure, low water, an increased demand for specific products – currently, the markets are in a tense situation and characterized by strong dynamics. For companies, this results in a variety of challenges where, among other factors, flexibility is critical to success. One development that has been observed in chemical logistics in recent weeks is the enormous situational increase in demand for rubberized equipment in Europe.

Rubberized units are special equipment and thus constitute a market niche. Their availability in combination with the temporarily increased demand is currently having an aggravating effect on the basic supply of certain chemical goods, as the prerequisites and restrictions of products always have to be taken into account individually when selecting equipment. For example, tank containers with a rubberized inner coating are required for products such as hydrochloric acids or caustic soda.

Dinges Logistics has a wide range of special equipment, including rubberized units. Our tank containers are offered in various volumes and rubber coating types. Optionally, the containers are also available with baffles and standpipe shoring. They are suitable for use on the road as well as intermodally, meaning for transport by rail.

Our rubberized equipment is currently also in great demand and is in use throughout Europe – not least for this reason, the management of Dinges Logistics has taken the decision to increase the currently available capacity with regard to rubberized equipment. "We are pursuing the general strategy of positioning ourselves even better in terms of capacity in the area of special equipment for the loading industry and, besides the current demand, we also see potential here in the future," explains Michael Klopp, Chief Operating Officer at Dinges Logistics. In the first step, a growth to 50 tank container units is envisaged, which are to be available in Q1 2023. "Depending on how future developments continue to shape up, we do not preclude even further growth in this area in perspective," says Klopp. The management of Dinges Logistics is in an intensive exchange in this regard in order to react flexibly to new developments and to steer the strategic orientation of the company accordingly.
